Hi guys,

New BMW owner here with a 2015 228i M Sport.

I've been an Audi owner for the last 12 years, so looking forward seeing what enjoyment I can get out of my baby beemer.

No concrete plans about what improvements I plan on making to the car, but I think some coding (need to source a suitable OBD adaptor first) is on the books, as well as a few small cosmetic changes, and maybe a bit of a tune.

I do have to say that I'm completely amazed at what dealerships are charging for badges. I bought the car completely debadged, and I am considering putting back on the 228i badge on the rear and the small fender M logos, but at nearly R3k, the car can stay anonymous, unless I opt to join the fake ///M badge brigade.
:smilebounce:

Welcome to the family, I hope you enjoy your stay here. F22 228i is a nice car, its very fun no lies. I have an M240i and I can honestly say that the 2 series shape is just amazing. Definitely one of the best looking bmw's you can ever buy. It will be interesting to see how they replace it soon.

Yeah, the car is very nicely balanced.

This Thread is useless without Photos :)

From the work you have done to your previous cars I’m sure looking forward to seeing what you going to do with this one. I’m sure your going to be missing the raw power you came from though.

ENET Cables for coding are cheap and you can download the software. Use a Wireless/Bluetooth OBD dongle and code with Carly or BimmerCode. Carly is now a monthly subscription but BimmerCode is a once off fee.

If I lived closed enough I would offer to help you out. If the world was normal I could have helped out from work but I’m still working from home.

Well, as Chris says, the thread is useless without a few pics, without further delay.

I like the de badged look. Keeps the lines clean. I’m wondering if I should do the same. Mmmmmm
