help with a lock

So the boot lock is supposed to open and turn like any other, no luck, have taken it appart up to this stage, how do I get the cylynder apart to get to the pieces inside? Anybody?

I have an e12 boot lock.
Is the one in the pic from an e12?
If so I will go and take a look as it is stripped.

nope this is a e34 M5 boot lock

I will check realoem and see if the 540i is the same . Istripped the e30 locks easily , the spare e34 door lock is ....lying in a container ....:roflol:

Somwhere there is a pin you phave to push out, then it comes apart

it does not come up on realoem only 525i till 540 i

Hoping to solve this challenge went to a scrapyard and got two more locks, can now cut one open with a hacksaw, shall report back!

Adi lucky you , its nice to stay in civilisation and find spares . Here in East London there is 1 e34 I know of in our scrapyards :roflol:

Adi, how come you have a later key for that lock?

My e34 540i M 1996 model has the same key .

no idea key came with the lock, but problem solved key was not right for lock, but ajusted pins!

Saw yesterday one still had original OEM tow bar / hock thing on
