Howzit guys,
In the process of buying a car on the forum, finding it difficult to decode this vin on realoem and other decode sites. I know that most modern BMW's end with 2 alphabets and 5 numbers eg. XX12345
The VIN on this BMW is ABMCA5807OA478094
So as you can see it has 2 alphabets and 6 numbers. If I enter it into realoem it pops up as an E90 320d.
The car is a 1995 BMW 318 Motorsport. Owner and previous owners confirm no change in VIN stamps - current owner is a true fanatic and knows his thing! I also checked the VIN on the car exactly the same. Cois did a check - he picked it up as a 318 - all in order
Probably a simple explanation for this but I am curious. Did the Motorsport's have a different VIN sequence?
