HELP - irritating noise in dash!!! e46

Hi guys has anyone experienced this?

I am a little bit obsessive about noises on a car and my e46 has developed a VERY irritating vibration in the dash on the passanger side that typically starts when the road is either quite bumpy or especially when i apply brakes and the road is even slightly bumpy this noise is driving me NUTS!!! does anyone know what I can do to sort this out?

Bonnet slapping against an adjustment nut, saw this on the e46fanatics forum

:clap:Unbelievable! I stopped at a garage on my way home opened the bonnet and stuffed a rolled up paper towel into the space around the adjusting nut and voila! no vibrations so I will go and find some rubber stopper or something that i can pull over the nut Thanx!!
