Help.."FTM" (Flat Tyre Monitor) system not working

I now destroyed 2 runflat tyres on my 2007 Z4 Coupe because the "FTM "system (the older system that gets the input from wheel speed sensors) does not tell me that a tyre is flat.
It worked about 8 months ago but not now.
I now performed the reset procedure a few times and deflated a tyre on purpose (rear on one occasion and front on another ) but still no warning lights.
I tested the ABS , anti skid and stability control functions (driving her to the limit ) and they are all functioning.
These tests in theory eliminates the wheel speed sensors to be at fault.
Any ideas ??

Errors on the dash?

Have you scanned the car for any codes?

No error lights on the dash and the scan showed no error codes remotely connected to wheels, tyres,ABS etc. Just an "alarm triggered" error code ( alarm was triggered when the car was loaded onto a tow truck).

Have you changed your wheels in the last 8 months?

Yes i did change tyres but not the rims.

When I purchased the vehicle around February this year it had run flat tyres front and rear.
The front right tyre became flat a day after purchase and the FTM light lit up on the dash. I pumped it,studied the manual and did the system reset.
The front tyres were not roadworthy and and the tram lining was awful.
I solved two problems in one by fitting normal non run flat tyres in the front before I did the roadworthy inspection and kept the run flats at the rear as they was still at around 70% life.
At that time I did reset the FTM system.
I also had no problems with the handling of the car and the normal non run flats in the front cured the tram lining.
Tyre sizes are as recommended by manufacturer and pressures was kept at around 0.10 bar less then recommended just to prevent my fillings from falling out on B grade roads as the run flats coupled with the M suspension is bone jarring.

I replaced the rear tyres last week with non run flats but that story will best be for another day.

Hi, did u manage to figure out the problem with the flat tire monitor system not working?

I've got a 2009 E92 325i & I'm having the same problem.
The sensor always gave me a warning when the tire pressure went low but in the past couple of months I'm getting no warning. Tried resetting it as I usually do - this worked perfectly before but now no warning.
