My name is John, originally from Centurion but moved to Struisbaai recently.
Cars are my Achilles heel, I've had 12 + 1 Hayabusa (no accidents or insurance claims ) since I was 18..... I'm 29 now.
A little about my BMW past:
I use to hate BMW..... simply because my brother loved them. But December holidays when I visited my grandparents I would drive my grandfathers e36 318i and started falling in love.
The real turner was when my boss asked me one day to come pick him up from a meeting in his e46 330i, that did it, I promised myself that my next car would be a BMW.
I then started my own company and soon enough fulfilled my promise to myself.
1st BMW was a 2001 e46 323Ci (Car #7) - Upgraded to out the Box 125i
2nd BMW was a 2010 e82 125i (Car #8) - Upgraded to 325i
3rd BMW was a 2009 e92 325i (Car #9) - She gave me too much problems (that BMW fixed)
4th BMW was a 2008 e65 740i (Car #10) - Recession hit me hard
I then decided to do a GL of my life, and decided to move from debt and luxury to cash and what I could afford.
5th BMW is a 1998 e36 316i (Car#12) - Bought her 2 weeks ago, sent her to the mechanic to check and fix everything my budget would allow. She is almost perfect mechanically now, seats are almost perfect, but for almost any care that old there is some TLC needed on the roof lining and doors (fabric only). Then there is the exterior, not bad but needs a little more TLC.
