Nope.
Not that I know of.
The HDMI is both video and sound.
You will have to disconnect the PVR and connect the HDMI when you want to play.
But this is just me speaking from limited knowledge of such things

HDMI is usually a problem so i bypass all this crap by doing fibre from TV to AMP :thumbs:
HDMI version compatibility can be the issue here and i have seen some hdmi cables don't like doing the sound part of things.. As i said in my other post now is i bypassed all those issues by doing fibre optic for my sound all my devices work 100%
that's then PVR + XBOX + Mede8er etc... Luckily i have 4 hdmi ports

-If your amp has HDMI inputs then use them to connect the PVR and PS3 and have the output HDMI from the amp going into your tv. This way you will have sound from the amp and TV if needed.
-If your amp doesn't support HDMI then connect a fibre optic cable from your PS3 to the amp. When doing this you can set the PS3 to use multiple audio outputs, which in turn allows you to still use the audio from the TV if you don't want very loud sound while playing/watching on the PS3.
-If your amp doesn't accept fibre optic then you can connect av cable into the amp then have the amps output going into the TV for video. If your amp doesn't have its own video output then leave the PS3 connected like how you described and then connect the audio output from your TV to the amp.
Now if you don't come right with this go outside and cry

The most simple solution will be:
Keep the PVR connected with the HDMI, Keep the PS3 connected with the AV and send another pair of AV's from your TV (AUDIO OUTPUT) to the AMP.

Naruto - What amp have you got ? i recall you said a SONY but which model ?

Most all-in-one surround sound systems have only 1 hdmi output, so we connected that via hdmi 2 tv, then for ps3/xbox we connected hdmi/av and had the sound connected via optic cable from tv to amp, now everything has sound.
Ps. There is a big difference in picture quality between av and hdmi on ps3/xbox

Alternatively, get an HDMI splitter - if u want I can try get cost for you on this. The HDMI splitter, will have for eg - 4 inputs and one output. The signal you want displayed will be controlled on the remote of the splitter.

And if your amp doesn't allow you to input multiple HDMI inputs, you can always resort to this (or similar):

Also, HDMI is digital, not analog, so you should not lose any quality with a decent switch. Just don't get the cheap and nasty ones.

TV has one HDMI slot. I have connected the HDMI cable from the PVR to the TV and connected the AV cables in the PS3.
I have the AV cables from the PVR to the AMP....
Now all I want is to have the SOUND coming out the the Surround(AMP).
Was thinking of connecting the HDMI cable into the PS + AMP. Would this work?

You have 3 cables going to the tv from the PS3, 1 x video, 2 x audio(red and white). Plug the 2 audio cables into the amp, put the TV in av for the video, amp into the relevant selection for sound.
Is that what u want?
