Happy! on Netflix

Hi,

Just want to check that I am not alone out there in enjoying one of the most depraved TV shows on now.

I started watching Happy! on Netflix recently and I am hooked.

Brian Taylor, the director, also did both Crank movies and Gamer (the Gerard Butler action movie) and a recent dark comedy movie about parents killing their kids (Mom and Dad).

The main actor, Chris Meloni, was one of the key characters in Oz (yes, that prison dram from the 90s that broke all the rules).

Happy! trips balls, big time and is certainly an acquired taste.

Any Happy! fans out there?

Will check it out tonight. Been struggling to find some new series to watch on Netflix.
If you like smart, weird, dark humour, try

Rick and Morty
Big Mouth

For dark drama
Alienist (old fashioned gothic thriller)
Wild wild country (doccie about a cult)
Ozark (better paced than breaking bad IMO)
Mindhunter

The standup comedies are really good. Especially Ali Wong and Hasan Minaj.

In terms of series I thought Master of None and Friends from College was brilliant.

Happy S2 is out.
The first episode has exploding nuns as part of an Easter Egg Hunt.
Still pushing the limits and still very funny in a dark, twisted, adult way.
