That 4x4 course was designed to entertain soft-roader owners, i.e. not to stress their rides too far. The real world is somewhat different.
That said, some local magazine took on the North Cape boendoes in a front wheel drive Renault some time ago. They took along a Toyota FJ in case of thing going bad, but it worked out OK.
