Hi gents my 1st bmw was an e46 facelift 318 awesome performance and no major problems got it at 60 000 on the clock, now at 160 000 still goes like a bomb.
I recently purchased a e87 118i for a steal @130 000 on the clock, problem is its very sluggish revs up drives had it on the launch pushes out exhaust came sensor replaced that no difference vanos gears are quiet no rattling noises very rough idle though, hoping some of you good folk can advise on where to start looking or maybe you cam across something similar, hopefully I don't need to buy a other engine at that price I might just put a 2j in and reep the benefits, I must say this forum helped me a lot understanding the e46 common issues cheers guys
