Just to get the ball rolling

Time: 1.28.984
Tyres: Sports Hard
No Traction Control
ABS: 1

Time: 1:28.098 (clean time, not red)
Tyres: Sports Hard
Traction Control: 0 (Off)
Skid Force Control: Off
ABS: 1

Battled to get close to your time for a while with the under and over steering from these hard tyres, but then eventually settled the car with far more attentive throttle control. Within that stint was able to get a 1:28.820 and a 1:28.716...

New time: 1:27.783. Took me 7 laps to get to this, I think I was a bit lucky becuase I cut the last two corners quite a bit and it didn't go red.

1st lap: 1:28.766
2nd lap: 1:28.861
3rd lap: 1:28.327
4th lap: 1:29.431
5th lap: 1:28.179
6th lap: 1:28.075

I think the trick here is to keep going on the same session instead of restarting whenever you get a bad time (which I kept doing before) - didn't really give the tyres a chance to properly warm up properly.

I found that the car was easier to chuck around through the corners when the rear tyres were starting to wear out.

Forgot to add: no TC, ABS 1, No other aids except the driving line.

Tried again but could not better my current time, at least not with these Sports Hard tyres - just too much slip! Also, Deep Forest anti-clockwise (normal)? Will try some more tomorrow...

BTW, add me as friend: Pfoglar

We aren't doing deep forest raceway (reverse) are we? Those sports hard tyres start to become a nuisance when you're pushing hard, found the car under steering through the slow corners then going crazy and over steering like an AMG through the exit. :fencelook:

Big thing with this car is throttle control, you can see it in the video how careful I am with it so the back doesn't step out. Beyond that I'm only thinking of maintaining as high a speed as possible, especially before that straight through the tunnel, can lose a lot of time there.

Just did a 1:26.747, same settings as I had before...just getting more corners and being a bit more fluid through the corners.

Major, are you using a racing wheel?

See? Big improvement already! Yebo, using a Driving Force GT, don't think I'd be able to do it with the PS3 controller.

Fighting temptation to pull out the DFGT and set a lap, but constantly reminded I need to study for board exams in June lol :(
