[Ok ok i can choose one.

CAR: Mini Cooper S '05 - As you bought it, no changing anything only add the turbo/supercharger (i can't remember and GT5 is updating).
TRACK: Cape Ring North
Restrictions: No Traction, sport hard tyres.

Let me know if you all are up for it.

I'm up for it. Will post times tonight

OK Brett, you set a time, we'll add 2 seconds to it and then chase that

:fencelook: I did a about 4 laps and got a time off 1:48.787 I didn't realise the track will be this long.

Just so that everyone knows, You must only add the Supercharger - No changing oil!! My HP with the SC was 193hp before i drove the car and after the 4 laps it went to 194Horsepowers.
The mini is nice.

Ok so we chasing brett's time:

1:48.787 + 2 seconds (winner's penalty)

So the benchmark is 1:50.787:thumbs:

Will post times later:=):

Okay, mine was also 193BHP for the first 4 laps then 194BHP, and now after quite a few more laps sitting on 195BHP.

Best time with all driving aids off except ABS on 1:

1:48.970

Best time with Skid Recovery Force and ABS on 1:

1:47.311

You can avoid breaking the car in by using it in Arcade Mode after buying it. Otherwise we might as well all break the car in completely and only then start putting out times.

Hmm, never thought about that...

Just bettered my time with with all driving aids off except ABS on 1:

1:47.846

But my "running-in" has now made her a whole 196BHP strong...

Who here using automatic gearing? I can't use automatic gearing - feels so detached, and with manual gearing I just have that extra bit of control especially when you have traction issues!

Also still using dualshock controller...

Anyone else got some times for this challenge?

I can never use Auto on a car that breaks traction (FWD, RWD).

Thing is, subconsciously I use the gears and engine speeds to get to know the track and what the car can do, not easy for me if accidentally automatic is selected...

Nice times guys :joy::thumbs: i will get some laps i today hopefully i can improve a little:fencelook:.

Okay, car and track as said - in terms of driver aids, is it only traction control that is restricted (as in set to 0)?

Yip, traction = 0.
i found it very pleasing that when the car is understeering a bit, you must just give the car some accelerations and she will turn in :)

Hope you guys are having fun.
The weather is a bit warm though, approx 34*c around midrand/centurion area. :thumbdo:

Yep, lift off and it comes back a bit, and then accelerate and it comes back some more, so pretty good! Quite a bit easier with skid recovery force on, so might try some more laps again later on today!
