in a follow on from this thread....now the serious side of getting this ship into perfect shape.
Problem number 1) Radio/TV/CD etc, about 50% of the time the screen comes alive, the TV shows pictures, the audio cassette can be heard moving, the CD's can be heard scanning etc...but no sound emmiting from the speakers....possibly amplifier not recieving power, where is the amplifier located, are there any relays or circuit breakers and where are they located......the other 50% of the time everything works perfectly.
Problem number 2) after a short drive when the temp is in the normal operating range there is a distinct roughness to the engine, when standing stationary at a traffic light, it gently "kicks" with a possible missfire.....when accelerating the power delivery is smooth and uniform, when decelerating it is also smooth, but when cruising at constant speed in top gear at RPM below 2000 the car seems to hunt, every 2 seconds, almost imperceptable, but if one looks at the RPM needle a clear fluctuation is noticed, when I move the gear lever to "S" (sport) forcing the revs over 2000 then it is once again smooth.
and then looking for a trick/cheat or similar....how to disable the safety function on the TV that will allow it to be used whilst driving, so that the passengers can still whatch TV....at present as soon as the car moves forward, the TV goes to a blank screen with words to the effect of the TV is disabled for safety whilst the car is moving, but you can still hear the sound
