Hi guys,
Jandre and I thoroughly enjoyed this weekend with a roadtrip and this awesome show! Just a great pity that there were so few BMW's there, way too many Merc's, but still great to see - the older classic Merc's are most certainly beautiful, and most of them were in stunning condition! As South Africans we do look after our cars, but I wonder how many of the more modern cars will "make" it to classic motor shows in the future...
Anyway, way too many pics to post, so concentrated on the BMW's that were there. Here's the link to my uploaded photos: George Motorshow 10 Feb 2012
The '74 2002tii Alpina belonging to CLASSICMAN here! Managed to get the car done just in time to have it transported through - still has to set things up since the exhaust and suspension was literally sorted out a few hours before driving through!
And then the 333i!! :inlove:
We thought this was Raybimmer's E34 540i Manual - turned out to be someone else who had just bought this car a week or so earlier! In very good overall condition but still being worked on and cleaned up - front bumper was resprayed a few days before and lots of small dents removed, so in need of a proper detail. Owner is over the moon with it, and everything according to him works flawlessly!
This was quite interesting, left hand drive 745i (iirc), manual!!!
It is hard to describe the degree of lust that we felt for this car! And it apparently had literally just clocked over to 47 000 km when the owner parked the car there! Absolutely stunning car, condition and combination of trim/wheels etc!
A true fanatic - that is all!
raise:
We found some cones!!! :fencelook:
And then for the 320d guys! jk :roflol:
Was epic, but we really do need to get more BMW classics down there!!! A certain MLE comes to mind straight away!!!
