Gauteng: Cars and Coffee - Centurion V1.3

Hi Guys,

So, from the initial idea of Cars and Coffee

Unlike the Midnight/Ice Cream meetups, this meet and greet should be held during the day, usually on a cold day to enjoy the Coffee and Cars, hence the dub "Cars and Coffee".

I guess now that we entering summer, we can call it Cars and Coffee, but of-course you not limited to drinking coffee. Get a milk shake, slush, etc...

So, here goes... Version 1.3!!

Date: TBA
Day: Saturday
Time: 16:00 - 18:00 (I suppose we can make it 15:00 to 18:00)
Venue: TBA

My suggestion is get coffee from the coffee shops above and chill around the cars and talk crap, etc...

Ok, i am putting this up, just so guys can get amp'd and ready for this. It will be in the next 3 - 4 weeks, depending on availability. HerrBmw and myself will plan this one. We are just waiting for confirmation from the venue. Will update in due course...

Can I give some suggestions for future meets?

I was thinking maybe at Roadhouse, only problem it needs to have a big enough parking to attend to their normal clientele and for us to park, then you can have milkshakes etc. I have a place in mind where they have extra space but its on grass and there is no lighting in that area.

Then I was thinking George Smooth has a Hotel with lots of space maybe we could do a braai or bring and braai type of set up in some corner of his property. Maybe make a small fee to include a chop and wors. And the Hotel could sell drinks or we bring our own drinks.

Excellent idea's Bernard... But the point of these "Cars and Coffee" meet exactly Saturdays event.

WRT the Braai/picnic idea, that's been discussed, we already had one with a lack of attendance and then winter started. herrbmw and myself will plan a Picnic soon. We have an excellent idea and between the 2 of us, we want to have one cracker of an event. Stay tuned for that... It will be a day out with the Fanatics. Prizes and some trivia along the way too.

Update:

We have not finalized details as yet as herrbmw is struggling to get hold of anyone in center management. We have permission from the restaurant to make use of there balcony which we need to book a week before. But, more importantly we need the parking area available.

Its going to happen, as soon as we have the venue sorted, we can worry about the date.

If we cannot confirm the venue by end of this week, then we shall plan the event for the South of JHB before this. I have already initiated conversations with The Glen for use of their rooftop parking.
