Funny Noise

HI Guys

I have a 2003 Mini Cooper S, had it for almost 2 years now.
Lastweek it started making a strange whining noise. When i checked, it sounds like its coming from the Supercharger. Anyone had this problem before??? And what am i looking at fixing???

not sure what the problem is but look at eaton M45 rebuild kits on ebay they very cheap and im pretty sure its an easy diy...

Just doing more research, found out that it could be the gears in the Supercharger that controls the water pump.

Ok, Update.


Water pump will be changed during the course of the week. Will see if that solves the problem.

I found a brilliant place in Alberton that do re-furbishments of both, the Supercharger and Water-pump. i However decided to put in alil extra and purchase both parts Brand new. Cost so far is R4k.

I will be collecting today, Charger will be fitted back in on Saturday Morning, will give an update on how the car performs
