Thats a really good starter camera bruce. I started on a fujiS700(its predecessor). You can get some top pics with that camera. Theres even a forum dedicated to that camera, where people show off their best pics. It just takes a lot of work to get the pics right with that camera. Its not that great in low light. Its also a bit sluggish. U can test my one out before u buy if you need

Low light can always be corrected.

Sluggish meaning?

But would you say it is a good buy.
Coz my current camera is either my Glaxy tab or the S3, or my old 10.2mp Fuji (which really takes nice pictures for the type of camera) but I think its time for a upgrade.

sluggish meaning it takes about 5 secs to boot up and a little slow when browsing pics on the camera. Bear in mind that im comparing to a Canon slr. Compared to other cameras in its class its probably a winner. Its defn a good buy. If you can save for a slr, thats the way to go. But then u start playing with an slr and u want better lenses and flashes......it will never end. If i remember, il bring my fuji on sunday and then you can play around with it and see for yourself.

So I decided to go ahead and buy the camera.

Really love how it works and so.
Just need to get the shutter speed a bit faster.

Will post up a few pics tonight.

Hey Bruce, When you say shutter speed faster? Are you referring to getting the shutter to open and close faster(picture sharpness) or the time between shutter actuations(continuous pics)?

The time between pics and the time it takes to actually take the picture.
