Fuel Consumption.

Hi guys,just wanted to let you know that I posted that my fuel consumption was 7,3l/100km,so I did a little exercise,the dealer said that the car was serviced 2000km before I bought it, so what I did this weekend was replace the oil and oil filter and guess what,current fuel consumption,town driving 5.8l/100km:idea:

Just goes to show that you can't take anything for granted.

Just to add. Indicated on My car is always 1.5 -2 less than actual

Hi Chap, what made you specifically change the oil and filter?

Spoke to the workshop manager at BM and he said it could be a lazy airflow sencor,then he asked me if the oil servce light came on and that is what got me thinking,being a technical person thought,frictions cuases heat which cuases resistance,so I changed the oil and that seems to have worked.
