Fuel comsumption E46 320i pre facelift?

Hi guys
A collegue of mine is looking to buy a 2001 pre facelift 320i manual, the 2.0L 6 cyl one.
He is concerned about the fuel consumption.
Can anybody tell me what type of figures he will get? He mainly use it in town, but from time to time open road?

Until someone with more accurate figures replies, if it is anything like the facelift 320i in terms of consumption (I gather he is also at the coast), then town driving anything from 11 - 13 l/100 km can be expected, and open road as low as 8 l/100 km. For mixed driving he should manage around 10 - 11 l/100 km...

This has the M52TUB20 engine which should have 110 kW and 190 Nm. :thumbs:

Prefacelift 320i is a real dog, therefore the owner will have to floor it everywhere and the fuel consumption will be terrible. Rather go 330i, only use half throttle and get better fuel economy...
