You have a strong time there. I keep messing up on those 2 left handers before the straight to 130r then i screw up on 130r also. If i perfect it i can get atleast half a second off my best time. Ive got the next 3 nights with the tv all to myself. Time to bring on the heat LOL.

Thank you, I was lucky to get that time in as my tools are failing me, for some reason my TV resets itself while I am playing… not sure why this is happening, but I only get in about 10minuts before I loose picture, thereafter in happens too frequent to actually complete a lap..

Time for a new TV I guess!!

Yep the tv is on its way out. Try to keep it cool. If its a normal CRT remove the back cover to help cool it. If its a flat screen expect a very nice expensive repair bill. Either way component failure is going to happen. When the screen switches off tap it on the side. If it switches back on then you lucky. easy fix.

Flat Screen LCD, the other day I gave it a nice “TAP”, but it refuses to come back on, I have to unplug the damn thing…

I’ll have to go shop for a new one, but not exactly what I want to be spending my cash on at the moment…

Yeah component failure then. Sorry bud. These flat screens get hot and need sufficient cooling. Repair costs are close to if not more than R1000.

It’s odd though, it only does it with the xBox when I am playing, youtube and computer linkup via HDMI is fine…

I guess it is these fast lap times I manage these days. :fencelook:

So what is the best TV to get these days for gaming and normal use??? the LED’s??? Makro has a promotion on the 40” Samsung at the moment, could be a good option.

LOL yes its the speeds. The tv cant handle it. Its to do with processing the images, frame rate and all sorts of other stuff. Try keeping the tv away from the wall. It is possible it may be going into protection mode from causing further damage.

I’ve got good clearance around the TV 300mm away from the wall and it free standing so not surrounded by a wall unit.

LED should be better??? more efficient tech.

Ive got a plasma 51 inch full hd 3D

LED vs LCD is not much difference besides the backlight. Both are LDC screens. LED has LED backlight and LCD has fluorescent backlight. Best is to have a look at a few and see which ones your eye is comfortable with. Plasma doesn't hurt my eyes LED does. Its just too good for my eyes to handle LOL

Plasma hey, I’ve never gone the Plasma route, not sure why… think someone told me a long time ago the LCD’s had better clarity, how relevant that is these days I have no idea.

Noticed something as well, I am a bit of a big brand guy, I guess that is how I was brain washed… but a company called Sonitec offers a 5 year guarantee on their TV’s, where the big boys offer one or two year options…

Are you prone to any brand?

It all depends on what you prefer. I used to find that plasmas were faster than LCD but LCD has improved a lot. Some brands do offer longer guarantees and when I used to do repairs I found these cheap makes all used LG hardware. I've been out of the game for a while now so I'm not sure if it's still the same.

Yeah energy efficient is the way to go. Electricity is only going to get more expensive and these flat screens suck juice. LOL.

LOL i also get bored sometimes then drift. This BMW 1M with 2nd gear is too nice to get sideways. Try not being so aggressive in the corners. take them slow and smooth you will see your times improve as you get used to it. I was also 5 seconds off but I'm slowly getting the hang of it.
