Forza 4 challenge

Yea I'm at a loss for words.

when selecting your car in the free run , under the difficulty setting is an option to race arcade mode and simulation, what is yours set at Bugger?

not taking anything away from your awesome times bud just trying to figure out how you managed those times.
brilliant times

Set to simulation I think, I've not checked to be honest. What's the difference between the two? Major will probably destroy those times though.

I think arcade is more forgiving in the sense where you can go around a bend without lifting off where as in simulation you'll have to brake for the same bend to stay on the track.
Other than that I don't know.

Ok, I'll have a look. As far as I know it's Simulation though.

Are we talking about the steering? Cos that has assisted, normal and simulation. I can't find an arcade mode anywhere,or am I being doff?

Ok, cool, I will give it a bash now and see what's what. Now you guys all think I wasn't doing it properly :roflol:

My steering was also on simulation.
Just had a quick go on normal and was unable to better my own time!
But I think I may just leave mine on Normal, it is easier to control the slides..

Maybe going from Sim. to Normal is not the same as going from Normal to Sim?

Tsukuba
NightStalker 1:06.476
Johnny8Bit 1:06.650 (+0.174)
FerrariRSA 1:06.900 (+0.250) - no screenshot
hermanbriel 1:06.911 (+0.011)
Bugger 1:06.936 (+0.025)

NightStalker had the fastest time and the differences were small.

Mugello
Bugger 2:12.688
Johnny8Bit 2:15.204 (+2.516)
NightStalker 2:16.036 (+0.832)

NightStalker/Johnny8Bit difference again less than one second, even on a much longer track.

Clearly we are doing something way wrong on this track.
As it stands Bugger has us well beat.

Sorry,screen shot for Tsukuba below!

I just couldn't get the first and third corners right on that track, they killed me.

The difference in laptimes between Simulation and Normal, provided you drive smoothly with the controller, is nothing. Simulation is more for the guys with steering wheels. With the controller, Simulation allows you to go lock-to-lock easier and without averaging out any quick movements you make, which makes tank slappers quite easy. But if you're smooth and make sure you aren't steering "too much", there's no difference.

Ok, thanks Major, I suppose that makes sense. I've got a Kinect and a wireless steering wheel, the one that is in the "U" shape, but I don't use either, just the standard controller, cos they both kill my arms....:roflol: if you want a fantastic tricep exercise, use the Kinect or the wireless wheel.... :biglol:

I'm getting closer with the steering on Simulation, the car is a lot more "snappy", if that makes sense? I got my time to a 2:13.154 on Simulation.
