Forza 4 challenge

Just trying to level thelaying fields.
Haven't played in a long while but im quite sure I have a fully sorted B500 M3 and depending how good you are and your tuning I would get mine to +-5seconds quicker than that.

All stock car means everyone has a completely fair chance at cracking a good time. In the other thread the times were sometimes separated only by the 1000th of a second. Now that is racing!

I hear you, but I like modifying the cars to try and get the best out of them.... we can do both, maybe after this one when you get your M3 sorted!!

I am going to have a run in a stock M3, then a tuned M3 without engine modifications, so only the suspension, brakes etc., then I am going to have one with all mods except the engine and aspiration conversions. Laguna Seca.... how many laps? 3? One out, one flying and one in?

I wouldn't go modded. Far too many complications. Times will vary DRASTICALLY.
My advice, keep ALL racing with stock cars.

That’s why we use the class restriction, I am having a go at it now, E30 no engine mods or engine change but everything else is pretty much done and tuned, that gave me a B class rating of B493, so in essence, power is nothing without control.

Just ran a 1:45.103... I’ll try and improve and post a pick.

The next one we do a stock race if the winner so choose.

O' and flying laps of course, and no invalid laps either.

So is that with no racing upgrades to the engine, but did brakes etc.... so nothing that gave you extra horse power,just better handling, weight reduction etc.?

That’s it, no engine mods at all... but that is up to the racer, assess the track and decide what you need most, power / speed / handling??? I am all about weight reduction and traction... but on long high speed track, POWER and as little drag as I can get away with!!!!!!!!!!

:rollsmile: I hear you! When I do top speed runs on the old Le Mans circuit I do that. I configured my E39 M5 to run as fast as possible, so the V10 conversion and twin turbos at the highest level, everything....got it to do 415km/h down that straight...

I need to get on to my Xbox shortly....lol

Tooooooo fast this thing!!!

Laps - 3 hot laps in a session should be ok? Those invalid laps creep up one you, so restrict the run to add some pressure!!

That's a pretty decent time that. Ok, so 3 hot, timed laps, and they must ALL be clean then? That's a challenge in itself...lol

For those that have Xbox Live (the PS3 guys could do it as well I would guess?), we should setup a racing group on the Forza 4 Community that ONLY races BMWs.... then we could race each other online. If I am not mistaken, you can set the class and only qualified cars can take part by the organiser. Just a thought......

Very true, let’s just go for it then.... you will have to run sessions anyway to give yourself a gap to tune your car for improved lap times.. running with the TC off now, THE BEANS!!!!!

Cool, then lets see if we can set that up,that would be very cool,I don't like playing against arb people from across the globe,next thing you know you anger an American and he nukes you...lol. So will be cool if we could get a group going.

No TC is awesome in the E30, especially if you go full engine and race mods and use the racing tyres, even though they supposed to be sticky!LOL!

Cool, that will be interesting.

I was messing around a bit last night and can say that it takes a lot of doing to get massive time improvement, I was running my Z3 M Coupe Class A600 against the E30 time, and could only get it down to 1:38.XXX or so...

Who is the best tuner????

I must admit I don't tune,I just gooi lots of power and then try and use skill to set good times,tuning is too painstakingly long,I just want to drive! :roflol:

One question though, why put a lap limit in ? hope the next challenge is stock cars with as many laps as you want to use.
Stock cars will make for one interesting challenge.
