Forza 4 challenge

Sounds like fun! But you should set a standard with what aids are being used and the such. Cos a driver using full aids will never go off the track, or slide, or whatever, and a guys shifting manually may get better times, so there has to be some sort of balance. The only aid I use in Forza 4 is the cornering line, so I am sure my time would be different from someone using the full racing line etc.

Well, the guys who play with all of the assists on will definitely be slower. I reckon we could just leave it open and have people pick whatever assists they want.

:fencelook::fencelook:

Let's look for commonalities between GT5 and Forza to see a somewhat cool comparison of times and cars

Played GT5 last week and there really is no comparison. In terms of reality Forza is a MUCH better game. Maybe it was different because I only played in arcade mode but from what I experienced, it's not as precise.

Will try sort my ShitBox out soon so I can join the fun again

Agree with Dr Evil, go revive the old thread to see how it was done.

Easy peasy

I've never played Forza, I wouldn't know :fencelook:

Anyway, GT5 is the best that's on PS3 (arguably) so we can use that

I don't need another calculator, so I won't buy an xbox :rollsmile::rollsmile::rollsmile:

Thread fail...
Too much talking and no racing...
Pick a track and rules already...?
Maybe do a new track each week. Times can be submitted by phone foto?
We generally just use twitter groups to challenge friends and post time proof there.
Sunday afternoon 5 is cut off for the weeks submissions...

As for rules, leave it open, cos to go fasterer you'll need to drop assists anyway...

Some really good ideas guys, exactly what I was hoping for.

O – 2 categories / PS 3 (GT5) & Xbox (Forza 4)

First Run - Track – Laguna Seca
Vehicle – E30 M3

Upgrade restrictions – no engine swop, no turbo charger, and no supercharger.

As far as driving is concerned, I am sure we are not all professionals, well I am most certainly not. But would say the only restrictions should be; and please if anybody feels uncomfortable with this we change it, this is supposed to be fun.

Stability Control – Off
Traction Control - Off
Suggested Line – Breaking only
Damage – Simulation (not that that would matter)
Rewind - Off

What do you guys think??

Correction guys,

Traction Control and Stability Control can be used....

I just ran an E30 without these aids, and it makes for an amazing drift car . :bangdesk:

Read through this please, you'll see how it's done. Follow the same format. Go by cars rating in order to keep all cars the same.
No tuning or Tyre pressure adjustments or anything of the sort when racing stock cars.

Brilliant!!!! Thank for that one UpNcOmiNg

So there we go lads, E30 M3 / Class B500 / Laguna Seca.... the winner picks a new car and track (Mod or Stock race)...

Deadline for posting times are Saturday midnight....

I wouldn't go modded. Far too many complications. Times will vary DRASTICALLY.
My advice, keep ALL racing with stock cars.

That’s why we use the class restriction, I am having a go at it now, E30 no engine mods or engine change but everything else is pretty much done and tuned, that gave me a B class rating of B493, so in essence, power is nothing without control.

Just ran a 1:45.103... I’ll try and improve and post a pick.

The next one we do a stock race if the winner so choose.

O' and flying laps of course, and no invalid laps either.

Just trying to level thelaying fields.
Haven't played in a long while but im quite sure I have a fully sorted B500 M3 and depending how good you are and your tuning I would get mine to +-5seconds quicker than that.

All stock car means everyone has a completely fair chance at cracking a good time. In the other thread the times were sometimes separated only by the 1000th of a second. Now that is racing!

So is that with no racing upgrades to the engine, but did brakes etc.... so nothing that gave you extra horse power, just better handling, weight reduction etc.?
