Forza 4 challenge

Hi Guys

I have an idea, but I am not sure if this has been done before. How about we do a bit of a challenge on Forza 4 by using a N/A M3, we can vote to use either E30 / E36 / E46 / E46 CSL it there is one, or E92.

I would say the car should not be turbo or supercharged, but all other mods and adjustments are acceptable… the idea is to reach the balance between power and handling performance…

The aim;
Set the fastest time around the Nürburgring.

If there is enough interest, we can even talk about a small prize. But let us not kid ourselves; the winner will have to prove his skills in a live demonstration which will also be a cool idea for a meet.

Let me know what you guys think.

Regards

Herman

I will take you up on that....but don't have FORZA 4 on PS3. Therefore I'll only play at work cause we have XBOX here :thumbs:

Sorry guys, should have added, I have an Xbox... we can do two categories i.e. Xbox and PS 3…. It would probably be unreasonable to compare times from different gaming devices.

Cool idea,

Choose the car and the mods we are allowed to use and lets do this :rollsmile:

Forza = Eggsbox (xbox) ONLY

Gran Turismo 5 = PS3 ONLY

I therefore suggest that we use the 92 M3 coupe and compare...

The 'ring is a bit overdone though. To test proper skill a short track with minimal recovery space is best - such as Tsukuba

Just my thoughts... :thumbs:

Can we do the same for GT5???

Why not, maybe the PS 3 guys prefer GT5 (that is if Forza is available on PS 3, I am not sure)... So we can do Forza 4 on Xbox and GT5 on PS 3 as the two categories i.e. Xbox and PS 3….

Cool, thanks for the clarification.

We can through some ideas around and maybe list the top rated tracks and vote for the one we will set the challenge on…

Shift unleashed 2 and F1 2012 are my games of choice. Great for challenging friends, and they are cross-platform.

Sounds like fun! But you should set a standard with what aids are being used and the such. Cos a driver using full aids will never go off the track, or slide, or whatever, and a guys shifting manually may get better times, so there has to be some sort of balance. The only aid I use in Forza 4 is the cornering line, so I am sure my time would be different from someone using the full racing line etc.

Another cool thing is to do a top end test on the old Le Mans track where there are no chicanes down the Mulsanne straight.... Oh yeah! Got a Veyron at about 420km/h down that straight!

Im in,

There has to be a way you can save or screen dump the end results...cause even if i have a live meet up, i think there will be pressure, and the worst thing about that...you will get the - O your time was purely fluke, but CAN YOU DO IT AGAIN?

I say no aids, perhaps using a lil traction control or stabilty wont hurt, either way, if you got the balls to drive it all out with no assists, you will come out on top - provided you can keep the puppy on the road.

I would recommend Laguna Seca, its a track thats come a long way...some tricky bits but generally a good track to test and time on...

I reckon a e30 to e36 Limit be put in place...also, No motor swops...otherwise we never gonna get consistency across the board.

First recommendation - Gents, get your cars ready and tuned, and dont forget to subscribe to this thread!

Or Barcelona.....?

If mods are allowed, you have to be honest about what's been done. But no turbo's or engine swaps should be allowed. So the cars must be N/A.
