First Impressions: M Performance Exhaust 135i

Howzit Fanatics,

After a year and a bit of owning my N55 135i, I finally managed to get the M Performance exhaust done today.

Ordered the box from ABM on Thursday and paid a deposit. Box was delivered on Friday. Got in early this morning and within 45 minutes, it was done. :clapper:

Wasn't too keen on the shiny tips at first but once its on the car, they do look good. (albeit the e series tips do not have the M stamp)

The guy starts the car while I'm eye-balling the back of the car as if its a dude that just bumped me in the club. He starts the car and there's no drama. Then I'm like WTF. He revs and then I hear the diff (although still not completely sold on it.)

Too late now. Pay the balance and get in the car. Driving off, I start to notice the diff. Car sounds louder but not like a Golf 1 with no boxes and cone filter. Its beautiful. Sophisticated. Elegant. Drive a bit more and I notice the car also feels slightly more responsive (Is it just me or has the excitement got to me?!)

The more I drive, the more defined the sound gets. All in all, a great mod (especially if you consider the fact that MP is still in tact)

Now I just gotta wait for next winter to experience a true cold start:cartel:

Oh, one last thing. Inside the arm rest console, I had about R30 in R5 coins. Get to Mcd to buy breakfast and i see it got pinched. Did not expect that.

Will take some clips tomorrow morning.

I didn't think to remove all valuables from the car as it was only going to be in for about an hour and I was going to wait for it. Also did not think that anyone would pinch the coins.

I called ABM now and informed the service adviser that I dealt with.

Yeah man, it's stupid. Not worried about the change buts it's the principle. You don't expect this from a dealership let alone from a premium brand.

Thanks bru! We will meet up. Go to Monte and drive in the parking lot

If you dont mind me asking.
What's the cost of the exhuast + fitment.
You dont need to add the R30.00 that was stolen from you.... :thumbdo:

Bwahaha!

Total was 12k. Exhaust was around 11k and 900 for the fitment.

Exhaust sounds good bud! Noticeable improvement over stock.

Shot bru! Yeah, the difference is very noticeable while driving. Not so much while idling.

Thinking about doing the dp this week... Was set on it but now I'm in two minds.

Nice man.

There isn't any performance gains if I remember correctly, so your Ass Dyno not so accurate:roflol:

You do have the auto right? Put car into Sports and the manual at certain revs normally around 4000 revs if so you get lekka "farts", then when slowing down gear down you will hear awesome burbles

If it's manual sorry I don't know!

Have fun
