Very happy with the car but need to do a few things :

1. Respray rear bumper as it had an incident with a gate
2. Spray parts of the front bumper - It has some rash in the middle
3. Replace the tyres
4. Since it doesnt have PDC or bluetooth, thinking of fitting one of these: Eonon GA8165A

I welcome all advice and tips :praise:

Congrats dude,

that brightwater metallic is the boss...what a stunning colour!

I have been replying to many of your posts already ha ha ;)

Advise:

1. check dampener pulley if it needs to be changed.
2. decat/downpipe for turbo longegivity (remove middle box when doing this to get a nice grunt out of the entire install).
3. Check intake filter, i changed mine to a BMC re-washable one....BMW don't change the filters often on those cars.
4. Along with the air filter, if the car has not been serviced in the last 15000km, do an oil filter, fuel filter, oil change for peace of mind.
5. Use 50ppm/10ppm diesel only, car can do with 500ppm in emerency situations but does best on 50ppm/10ppm.
6. Oh, and once downpipe is done, take the car to Keithan (RKMotion) and get software done...works a charm and wakes the car up a lot!! bUt you can do it once you bored of the power OR if your car requires software after removing CAT (You rcar might need software to write the cat out).

Great car and probably the best balance between economy and power.
I would advise changing the diesel filter as well just to be safe as you cant be sure what fuel the previous owner used. :bravo:

Hey Ash,

Thanks man,

I'm actually going to get the car to a mechanic to look at once they all open next week, I want to get the dampener checked, as well as the timing chain. Are the swirl flaps an issue on the first N47s? Read quite a few issues about them on the 330ds.

I didn't know the downpipe could assist with turbo longevity, that said I remember when my cousins M47 blew the turbo the mech said it seemed to be due to a blocked cat.

Once I've got the major issues checked out/ addressed I'll look into the tune too.

On the service, the car has fill service history at BMW though I need to double check when the last service was, I'll definitely change out the filters at the next service.

Thanks!

Thanks for all the welcome messages

Congrats man she is a beut :bravo:.. i agree 100% with the above mentioned my experience is 50ppm is the best as i find 10ppm to give me a bit of a roughish idle

my car is tuned through RK motion and its one of the best if not the best invesments i have made

As far as i know swirl flaps arent a issue on N47 motors

But yes the Cats get clogged up and they screw the turbo, my turbo on my 1.9tdi went and when we looked at the cats they were Dirty as hell

also a little something i spotted on my car is maybe check the boost seals, cant hurt checking them out

Hope this helps:thumbs:

Congrats man.
Car looks awesome!
Get the car on 110% mechanically and then add dp and RK motion! Best decision I ever made
