Filled up crankshaft

my M43TU crankshaft is worn beyond limits but seems like engineering shops can be able to repair it / "fill it up" I don't know the proper name for it.
they say its gonna take about 2 weeks to do.

are there any disadvantages to this procedure?

weld on material and grind down to the required shape . Then Balance it

I dont trust that for some reason. rather get a second hand engine and drop it in. there could be lots of other hidden problems in yours :thumbs:
