Just how planted did that car look in the corners and running on grooved slicks. That was a seriously mighty lap. I miss those old V10's, they sounded so much better than the V8's and infinitely better than today's V6's.

Montoya was one of my fav drivers, hes biggest drawback though was his punishment of the cars. He was fast, very fast but he put too much strain on the cars. A F1 driver needs to be as fast as possible, but keep a good balance on tires and engine.

Those BMW.Williams F1 cars were the fastest... Season after season in outright speed.

BMW engines are truly second to none!!!

I considered myself one of the few blessed to still experience that F1 sound everyday. :rollsmile:

Have to agree with you there, it's the thing that elevated Schumacher to a different level, mechanical sympathy.
