Fast Five vs Fast & Furious 6

Hey, I rewatched Fast Five the other day after watching FF6 last week, I must say Fast Five is really an awesome movie. It is so much more realistic and believable than FF6.........I couldnt explain the need for all the CGI fakeness in FF6. Alot of the stunts were ott, and over done.

Looks like they had budget cuts for F&F6, lol

I agree the runway part was stupid.
I never went there expected to see the line "This is based on a true story"
I went there expected to see insane action and races etc. Guess that's why I really enjoyed it.
To each their own though

Lets not forget the MASSIVE SAFE pulling in fast5.
Its on par with the 234.56KM runway!

But for some reason the safe pulling in F5 looks realistic, the way it was done looks legit, and not CGi, even though it may be CGi.

I thought the safe pulling was AWESOME!!!

It is a bit more realistic then FF6 I think... The only thing that was bothering me was when the safe flip like a few times the cables never gets tangled...

I don't mind CGI stuff, but I think from the 1st FF is more of a realistic movie, coming from street tuner and street racing... Now it seems like nobody ever dies in the movie, is like Ironman aint got $h!t on them :roflol:

Fast five was way better in every possible way :praise:
Ff 6 was too far-fetched and unrealistic. :thumbdo: what pisses me off the most was the part where the rock said the v10 m5 is a v8 twin turbo :argh:

Fast 5 was definately more realistic, and the Safe scene was not CGI.
Fast 6 tho was just good old crazy fun and had a less serious tone even though there are a few casualties.:fencelook:

As for the M5 thing well if you look closely some of them were not M5's if you look at the mirrors so am not sure what they were trying there, how ever in the car chase scene's you can hear a V10 rumbling along.....

Here's to Fast 7 for another crazy Action fest! :D

The BMW s were 530s and 525s.

I have tried to ignore the unrealistic parts in all of them and just enjoy the cars. .. lol i started watching all 5 again.

Some serious 007 and Transporter scenes, nice action but too many far fetched stunts, I still like the 1st one the most

Just saw F&F6 just now - yes, I agree its unrealistic on some scenes, with lots of cheesy lines and fake CGI... But for pure entertainment, which is what I rate my movies on, I'd give F&F 6 a 10/10. It's one of those movies just worth watching over again

Really loved the movie, some unrealistic stunts agreed but a lot of action, and that is after all what we are after.

Just to state something, remember all the parts they show are happening all at once, not after eachother like shown in the movie. So I think to be fair the 28.75 miles needs to divided by 3. So then the runway is only 9.58 miles long.

Also, some of the quarter mile runs on the other movies took a good few minutes at a time

When vin diesel launches himself from his car and catches letti or whatever her name is inbetween the bridges and lands on the other car *facepalm* I would have preferred more driving stunts than kak like that.

Yeah, I watched the original movie on DSTV last night, this movie series has just moved too far away from the original concept of Fast and Furious.

I think Vin's Superman/Spiderman stunt was the last straw for me........I think with Fast 7, we can expect some Transporter style stunts with Jason Stratham in it, and to me some of those are just really fake and impossible.

The first movie had some really realistic live action stunts, think they have just drifted away into some CGi fantasy world, cause at the end
of the day this is a movie based in reality and not the super hero world.

I think they need to go back to the drwaing board if they want to do another 3movies, as its getting too silly.
