fan belt and pulleys

So my fan belt snapped on my n54. Apparently taking all the pulleys with it. Any ideas on replacements and what causes this?

Sorry about your misfortune, did the tensioner survive?

I know BMW sells the tensioners separately if you got the part numbers... Refer to realoem.com

Check turner motorsport or vac motorsport, for an under drive pulley kit for your car, most likely cheaper than oem and you can free up a few hp while you at it :thumbs:
