so i am playing with this idea of fitting F8x M4 Front Seats in my E46.

What mods will need to be done in order for it to work 100% ?

Who can assist me in regards to a wiring diagram of both seats as well as coding if required ?

Please let me know if this is possible :=):

I saw a thread on bimmerpost (I think)... but f80 M3 seats both front and rear was a direct fit into an e90 lci...

Apparently no change in coding... and somehow just swopped the wiring harness...

Will see if I can find the link.

If e90 and e46 seats are a straight swop... then I'd assume the f80 seats would work fine... double check dimensions for sufficient clearance

i did read up on that link earlier : http://bimmersport.co.nz/topic/60853-f80-m3-seats-into-e92-m3/

I was just wondering how much work is involved in getting the fronts to fit in the E46 M3 like:
Would i also need to keep my E46 Seat modules ?
Can i just join the Positive / Negative and Canbus wires together or would coding be required ?

Cant seem to find much info with guys that fitted these to E46 :hidden:

Did the connectors change? I assume this is because you have electric seats?

Even if electric seats, the only codes sent over the wire is the key number when you have memory seats so that the seat adjust to the last settings used on that key in the E46.

So the F8x seats is where I dont know. Do these cars also have memory based on the key you use (memory is not stored in the key but in the car modules).

So the car only communicates key number to the seat module, the seat module takes care of the saved settings for the key.

So if you have memory electric seats now, and you replacing them with memory electric seats, it should mostly be plug and play if the connects are the same.

The only other thing that the passenger seat will have, is the occupancy sensor.

That is from my limited knowledge on the E46 seats, which I never had, only had cars with manual seats.
