I fitted my DP just for the awesome tone. :cartel:

Thats what i want to, more noise :roflol: Some pops and bangs too

The DP doesn't give pops & bangs.

On this topic, I have very much the same thoughts as Terry from Burger. I found there no be very minimal gain, & in some cases zero gains, when fitting a DP to an M3/M4 up here at altitude. I haven't dyno'd many at sea-level so I cannot say for certainty if the same applies down there.

If someone comes with empirical data showing gains before and after with DP only on the same fuel, then I will be glad to admit I was wrong. The F8X cars run a 100 cell catt system wheres something like an M135i has 400cell catts. 100 cell is far less restrictive than 400 and even the F10 M5 has 200 cell catts. So I doubt there are much gains in the catts themselves.

Terry intially did the measurements on the first 2014 cars tons of other threads where downpipes yielded gains. Even spoke to Nishen from TMSS where he mentioned 18kw and the most 27kw on a stock car. Time will tell we will see. Go check Bimmer post as well plenty of threads everyone seems to want to go by what Terry tested with out really providing Tests themselves.

People trying to sell stuff will always quote great gains. Terry does downpipes every day, as do I. Nothing changed from 2014 to now, the downpipe is the same part number.

Like I said, if I'm wrong then so be it. But I have dyno'd time and time again before and after fitting DP's and got no peak gains,

Different car but related to the discussion...
@Sherwin, what is your experience with gains on a M240i with a catless DP.
I ask cause BMS also claims no to minimal gains.
Thanks,
