I like it except the positioning of the screen. I much prefer the integrated one like in the current M3.

For attention of Manual enthusiasts:

Am i the only one who finds the auto rev matching on downshifts incredibly lame/patronising? Almost defies the point for a driving enthusiast..

Agreed the M3 is a drivers car. The feeling of getting the heel toe technique correct on entries and exits of corners, shows ones ability to understand the vehicle. I will be very disappointed if this feature cannot be disabled. On a secondary note if this is not possible no biggy just get an E90 M3 in manual with akra's and heel and toe to your hearts content.

Yea. More and more I find older cars appealing for reasons exactly like this.

I'm sure this new M will be incredibly competent though.

I agree with the sentiment of the M cars being driver focussed.

However I first saw the "synchro-rev" system on the 370z and I simply love it! I'm by no means a master behind the wheel and very rarely heel and toe, and found this feature a heaven sent! I for one would love it :)
