F80 M3 test drive

So my F30 335i is 4yrs and quickly approaching the 100km motor plan limit.....

I have not owned an M car before, the 335i is my 1st BM.....

I WAS one of those guys thinking the extra cost of an M3 is not worth it....

Boy was I wrong....:hammerhead::hammerhead:

Yoh, the M3 is a totally different car and so worth the value.....I'm hooked. :rollsmile::rollsmile::rollsmile:

Had a permanent smile driving it the other day.....am running the numbers and will soon make up my mind to get it....

What a car.....respect....

Ok , so I picked up my 2016 F80 M3 on this Thursday.

2nd time that Auto B. Midrand came through for me on a really good deal....I got a great trade on my F30 335i and a discount thrown in on the M3. Did my shopping with two other BMW dealers and on Merc dealer and no one could match. Seems Auto B. Midrand will make out on the factory rebate? As they are meeting their M targets.

The car , yas marina blue.....pics do not relfect the color....you have to see it in person.

Specs : M-DTC , carbon roof , adaptive suspension. Those are the major ones.

First impressions :

Have about 350km as am driving to Dbn... also have not driven the prev versions M's. My experience is coming from my 335i.

This car is magic , kinda like my aprilia...point and floor in this case. The steering is accurate, gives feedback and goes where you want it to. Engine sport and sport + is just crazy.....auto blip on the sports+. Exhaust sounds great on those two modes. Quite on efficient.

Am still taking it easy , so will update in the coming weeks....

I think i MIGHT have passed you today going down to Durbs? Matte silver R8? There was one yas marina M3 taking it very easy on the way.

Top choice of car and colour.ive been saying this for years now.... The 335 is a great car but an M car is the ultimate.

About 1 900km on the clock , did the 2000km service last week and basically changed the oils and did a few campaign/software updates. Loving it every time I drive it , behaves fairly well in M1 traffic too so smooth gear changes etc....
