F30 Reverse (Side Mirror Positioning)

Hi Guys,

Quick question, I noticed when engaging reverse gear the passenger side mirror changes position ("pointing down"). However the drivers side remains static. Is this correct, or both are supposed to point down..i.e change position.

I noticed this happen on my SO's M235i after using it a few times recently and thought there was a problem with it. I'm keen to hear from others as well if this is normal.

It is only the left side that tilts, this can be controlled from your side-mirror selection switch......left or right to activate or deactivate the tilt.

Just move the "side selector" switch to the right, that will deactivate it. Move it to left and that activates the tilt option.

Used to irritate me too until I figured it out by mistake.

RHD cars parallel park on the left (in SA), hence only the left-side tilts.
