F30 recall: recode and plaques

So my baby went to JSN for new brakes, upon making the booking they said the car is part of acall program where they need to recode the control unit which controls the wiper motors - it apparently burns them out (I guess this is when it's on auto) and to replace the identification plaque on the driver's door stating the nett weight the car can carry...

She is a Feb '12 build so to those whose F30s are from the same build and are starting to go in you might need the same.. doesn't seem to be urgent as they are waiting for us to bring the cars in..

My car was also recoded last week - but they didn't could tell me what it was for.

Only one of the identifications plaques were changed.

Got home too late to actually check the car I just checked and yes only the one at the door was replaced.. thanks! :thumbs:
