Hi guys

is it possible to get xenon on an f30 as an after market part? I am not happy with the normal lights on my f30, I cant see anything at night wit them.

Xenons are one of those things that you add from factory or forget about...

Same with a sunroof.

I dont think you'll find aftermarket lights for an F30.

While I can understand the sunroof only specing from factory, but xenons if you really want them and plan to keep your car for a long time. Go for it. You will be looking at nothing less than R6 000 for OEM housing and after market ballasts and bulbs, up to R10 000 for all OEM.

Ebay Xenons F30

Theres a set going for R8000 , R 9 300 with shipping, probably a whole lot more once customs comes along.

Best would be to source from scrap yards.

Also if you get adaptive lights you will have to pay more for another lighting module or something.

Anyway I will tell you if they are worth it. My OEM xenons should be arriving today or tomorrow for my E90. I am very excited. I agree halogens are just not bright enough nowadays with all the new cars on the road blinding you. And the doos with his HID kit in halogen reflectors with his lights on full tilt :fishwack:.

I would go for it.

Source a set of OEM xenons from scrapyards or the set on ebay. Don't cheapen the look of your F30 with the 'xenon-look' after market halogen bulbs.

It's well worth the money you pay IMO.

sold as the lights package. BMW will not do it as there is to much work including replacing the front bumper for the light washer system

Yerrr, can I put brighter after market bulbs though?

If you want better light. Xenons are the way to go, WITH PROJECTORS.

While I have never read anything on them. I was looking at realOEM and came across a BMW "performance bulb" Lol. I have no clue if they are better or just a marketing tactic. Who knows they may also just be the stock halogen bulb.

I think he means just brighter bulbs for now if the Xenons are not an option, like Osram Nightbreakers Plus etc.

I know, I was just emphasizing that he mustnt get an HID kit without projectors. The "BMW performance bulb" is a halogen bulb.

And out of interest sake. From what I gather to do a full OEM xenon retrofit. Will cost you a hell of a lot. There are components in the suspension needed for the leveling system or some thing. Figures of 5000$ and 8000$ were being thrown around on F30 post :dropjaw::dropjaw:

What may be your best option if you want xenons, but I'm sure its not Motor plan friendly.

Is speak to Vsomai about a retrofit in your existing headlights or get a second set of halogen lights and let him retrofit them into those.
