I disagree , currently driving an F30 320d modern line with wood trim . It's really comfortable and pretty solid . They are some drawbacks but definitely stronger than my E46 .
Agreed. The 320i costs R364k and the 320d costs R391k (rounded off to nearest thousand). These are entry level, closer to R500k would be the 328i and the 335i and I dont think that would be considered entry level.
I might agree with the OP when he says there could be compromise on the build of the F30. There was a thread about BMW saving costs on the E90 LCI. e.g. the missing boot-lock, no ash-tray for the back passengers, wiper-arms, standard nets behind the front seats, the torch inside the cubby-hole, optional pedal lights.
So it might be true that there is a compromise in the material?
:fencelook: I did not want to say aything but if you where to compare with Audi, Merc, Lexus and Jag - im afraid BMW have dropped off some what. :argh:
BMW interiors do seem to be a little behind Audi in terms of looks/presence.
That said Im not that fussed about interiors. Its more about the drive for me. I like the seating position and the simplicity of the BMW interiors.
Have you been in any of the new Audi's?? I thought I was in HI - FI corporation during a xmas sale special! lol. Very fancy and all that with different colours and buttons for bloody Africa. But also quite plasticky and superficial if you will.
