F30 Bootlid Tail Light loose

Anyone else has a loose light just noticed mine this morning taking my bag out of the boot. Club Motors Randburg are dingbats as my car was there five times and they did not pick this up or unless they swapped my light with someone else. Also when the windscreen was refitted they never put the rubber beading in the bonnet back properly and I suspect that was the funny noise I was hearing when I started the car need to check later:argh:

Eish maybe Japanese is better after all the headaches I have had.

These new F30's are being made very poorly.

I went through the recent BMW mag and there is a write up were the BMW plant in Rosslyn has introduced a third shift, so the plant is now operating 24 hours a day. They have also hired a lot more staff for the new shift, which makes one wonder if the inexperience of the new staff has anything to do with the type of quality coming out of the Rosslyn plant.

I am all for job creation, however with hiring new staff there is bound to be mistakes.

BMW does not know what is customer service, ranting and raving also getting me nowhere. I will go see club motors this afternoon hope they resolve the issue, still have a clip from the previous time when the vehicle was there they damaged the inner panels, scracthed both beading by windscreen. Today I opened the bonnet and found the rubber that goes by the plastic covers laying on the engine. Real back door work, alos had silicone oozing out the sides inside the vehicle.

I saw a F30 in our parking at work, same thing......right hand bootlid tail light was loose and sticking out...

dude, it seems to be the norm!

i was at a dealership and on their floor, a brand new 320i has both the tail lights come loose when i was opening the boot! my wife and myself were shocked!!!

lol I managed to force my way into the workshop as I explained the last time they messed up the refitment of the windscreen. I was shocked at what I saw. Someone brought their clean blue E46, think it was a 330i, eish the mech raved it very hard not sure why think he was showing off something he did not own. These guys abuse peoples cars also seen the guy test drive someones 320d and floored it as soon as he left the dealership sad. :thumbdo:

Gosh, almost seems as if , if its not a major issue with the car, rather live with it, and not take it back to the dealer, as from what I gather from the thread , the car comes back worse and more stuff broken .....scary and disappointing!

this is just shocking , tried pushing it back but dont hear anything clipping , so seems BMW will see me monday

I've been saying the same thing for months now. Always felt my ex F30 was a 'spoeg en plak' car. It's a joke compared to both the E90 and F10 I have now. And the F30 went to the dealers many times with little 'niggles' that needed to be sorted out, including a tail light that popped out.

Nah my e90 was a bad experience for me. It seems that there is some jealous guys over the F30. Yes some had seat frame issues. Then the steering rack issue and now a tail light issue its little things compared to e46 lower control arm bushes, tail light contacts burned, Fan resistors and diff's and also a few other niggles. E90 was mechatronics in the GM gearboxes. Injectors. And cylinder head issues just to mention a few

Well each model had its commen problems and I don't see the F30 having more problems than the previous models. I have owned all 3 models and I am happy with my 320d
