Hi Guys

So today , out of the blue the air conditioner in our F30 stopped working . I will be taking it into BMW to have it looked at as its still under motorplan but taught I would pass it by here for some sort of ideas on what might be the problem or could there be another bigger underlying problem with the car.

Tried switching the whole system off , played with the temp dials , the full button etc etc No cold air .

Some things I noticed ,

1) When I blip the throttle , As normal the engine rev will go up and down , but I noticed a second or two later there is another two sort of blip blip sort of exhaust noise , and the car shakes ever so slightly , Im unsure if its coming from the front by the engine or the middle of the car .

2) I notice the engine seems to be working harder , even when in park (This with the air-conditioner button on ) I feel as if the fan at the front of the engine seems to be louder? I dont see the car overheating or anything of that sort.

3) No cold air from the air-con , though the heater seems to be working fine.

4) When you press the air-con button , I hear that blip blip noise as in point 1 .

Also noticed that when driving the start stop seems to behaves in a funny way , before when you stop at a robot , the car would switch off , and stay off until you let go of the brake etc
now it switches off , then a second or two later it switches itself back on .
It might be just be , but I do feel a slight lack of power as well . Its not showing any faults on the I-drive screen though.

Any clues as to what could be the problem this car has the B48 engine .
Has anyone experienced such in their F30?

Thanks for all your assistance .

So a small update .
Dropped the car of at BMW this morning , the service guy said he did notice that the car was missing . So will see what they say now and how the diagnostics and repair go .

So picked up the car from SMG this afternoon , They found a leak in the air conditioner radiator . Replaced it with a new one and recharged the system, also found my pads and disks front and back were worn out so they changed that , This surprised me as just two weeks ago i sent it in for a service to another dealership , (the dealership that I normally take this car to ) , who told me that they had replaced it . They also found a fault in the battery so replaced it with a new battery . The miss . the guy said they reprogrammed the car with new software and this fixed it , Apparently something to do with cylinder 1 programming.

Car is now fixed and running perfectly again :smilebounce:
