Hi All

Ok so for the last week while my F30 2012 320d Auto was in for some minor scratch touch ups My dealer gave me a F30 2014 320d Auto to drive for the week.

Instantly I noticed a few differences even though both was exactly the same spec.

In Eco Pro Setting there is a new thing added .. "Coasting" witch my 2012 version don't have. It enables the gearbox to disengage when freeing witch I think it kinda a pretty big deal

Also I notices things like on the Instrument panel it would show the Start/Stop logo when the car don't turn off when you stop and my 2012 also don't have that.

It might be small things but its immediately noticed.

Anyone have a list of changes from year to year because it seems they are the same but apparently not?

Ask your dealer to do a software update and you should also have it then

Maybe the guys on the Forum that do coding can shed some light on this. As I can see on other Forums thus far is that some guys are getting it right and some not. Guys have looked into hardware changes but there are none spotted yet. I seems to be only software changes. Time will tell.

Any Experts on our Forum?

All I needed to code was one setting
HU_NBT::EFF_DYN_SAILING - Active and the checkbox appeared in Eco-Pro setting. Checking and unchecking changes the Potential saving bar from about 75% to 50%

It may be an idea to check with your dealer if the new F10 has sailing or not - that should at least clarify the situation about whether UK laws allow it or not.

I second the dme update

Apparently its not a software update as mine was updated recently with no change. Dunno if its something that will have to be coded in ???

BTW where do you download the latest firmware. Maybe if I do a firmware update myself it will do something
