Hi Guys,

Please can you give some advice, my friend at work has a 3 series F90, the passenger window will not work from the driver side but it will work from the passenger side. Is this a big issue? Is there no way to reset this?

Thanks a lot.

Could be a few things causing this. A reset can be done with INPA, but it could also be wiring or the switches in the driver door itself. My wife's E87 had the same issue. After trying INPA, replacing the switches panel in the driver door solved it for me.

@rudolphc83 how would one go about this inpa reset? My e90 has similar issue, but with the power mirrors.. they adjust with the seat memory setting and the two different keys used, but not with the switch. Replaced the switch with a working one, no difference..

Hi Andre

It's been a while since I did that. If memory serves, you can reset the seat modules independently, that should do the trick I think. Three should be a module on your INPA specifically for that. Not sure if there is a module for the mirrors specifically though. Also depends on your version of INPA.

I had a similar problem once where I couldnt open the passenger window from the drivers door. Pulled hair out trying to figure it out and at the end it was only when we removed the door panel that we noticed one of the screws holding the door panel was screwed into the wiring, shorting it out.

Maybe do this, take the door panel of and look at all the wiring for any damages.
