Hi guys
Newbie here.
If someone could please assist me with a problem. I have a 2012 120d, vehicle has 170000km. The problem im facing is the dash lights intermittently pops up for a few seconds than goes away. There is no interference while I'm driving. The lights illuminates than goes off after 2seconds. Furthermore the I drive keeps resetting. It changes the km to miles, degrees to celcius. Checked the battery connection and it's still fine. Had the car scanned and no faults pop up.
I would appreciate anyone has knowledge or feedback with regards to this issue.

I would start by checking the charge rate and if it is constant. Should be in the region of 14,2 - 14,4volts or in that region. Check it for a minute or two to see if it does not fluctuate. I had a 2005 E87 120d that did show 14,4v but it would suddenly dip to about 10v and then back to 14,4v. But you had to be quick to notice it. Replaced the whole alternator for an after market one but was thinking to replace the voltage regulator or rectifier, not sure which one. In my case the speedo also would suddenly fall to 0 and then go up to whatever speed you were doing. If i remember correctly, the abs and traction control lights also would light up. New alternator solved all the problems. Just my 2c's

Thanx a mill for the response... And yes u hit the nail on the head with regards to the speedo.. When the lights pop up the speedo also drops to 0 than goes back to normal. I will definitely get the alternator checked. Much appreciated
