F15 X5m Second Hand Bargain?

Hey Guys

So I've always looked for an M50d but lately the X5m has become just as affordable second hand as the M50d

Their is an 2016 model with 99k km on selling for R599k

Anything I should look out for on the M?

Are they reliable?

Im sure the M has adaptive dampers, one cant just simply lift it.

Also, its not built to take the weight of the circus tent and there are probly no mounting spots to fit your spare wheel outrigger.

Feels like a troll...

This will look good next to your BMW i8 Hillclimb car.

What ever happened to that project by the way?

Well at least you don't want to turbocharge one of the already least reliable most fragile motors BMW has ever made.

What is all this talk of reliability and affordability? Just use that 2 bar you had kept aside for your i8 V10 TT daily drivable project and buy something fit for purpose... got to 4x4 community and ask this question... not here where everyone has wasted enough time on your trolling.

There is no such thing as a cheap M. That is something I learned the hard way!

That being said, the car is rather recent, so if all checks out on the normal checks, it may be a good buy. They are absolute monsters, and seeing as you aren't worried about fuel consumption, it will be a great daily.
Just don't expect great resale or an easy market to resell to. The diesels tend to be an easier offload but mainly the 30/40d's

Wow. Still on the search?
What happen to the cayenne option?

Cayenne is still an option, just not getting the right one at this stage I think I'm going to wait it out till next year and see if I can't get into an new shape cayenne or X5.

If I get an bargain like this X5m I'll take it but it's not an bargain was in an accident in 2016 and it has never been to BMW since

You are 100% correct this is not a bargain but, an previously accident damaged car that bmw recorded as uneconomical to repair

So you don't even have the i8 yet? But it is "Getting along good"

By the looks of it he doesn't have the m50d as well. OP - power to you. The imagination really is a powerful tool. After reading that i8 thread - you really do inspire me.
