F10 Professional Navigation Retrofit

Hi Guys!

I have recently purchased a 520D M 2014 model with standard Idrive, no GPS.

I would like to retrofit a professional nav system along with an iDrive Touch. Does anyone know anyone in South Africa who may be able to assist? Sites like Bimmertech make it seem possible, just would not know who to get to do the job.

:clapper: congrats on car, but i think you will horified at the cost to do a retrofit of a nav system, I would rather just get a Tom Tom or Garmin.

Thanks for the reply Mike! Its not as much for nav as it is for the difference the system makes in the vehicle, in my view it makes a massive difference to the interior experience in the vehicle. I'm bracing myself and hoping for the best :)

I've got one laying here to fit in my car (I have Business Nav) but cancellation of my MP is what's holding me back. I have the NBT version that's compatible with your car, just a simple CAN filter to spoof the Nav and you are set to go. Definitely possible and if you don't have a Combox in the car (like I do) it can be as simple as pulling the old and installing the new

No you do not have an NBT laying around :)

to the OP

I can do the installation for you for about 20 to 25k depending I have stock of the equipment out of a F01, but its the CIC, not the NBT, you should have the NBT in,

However, and listen nicely, your car is a 2014, if you do this retrofit, you WILL most void your motorplan,

Which means dropping about 100 or 150k worth of value off of your car.

So thats 150k+ versus 2k for a garmin, or decent samsung phone free on contract ?

Agreed with Leonard! Post the last 7 digits of your vin and we can check if there is an official retrofit available form BMW. Will cost you $$$ but at least you keep the warranty and motor plan intact.
