F10 DRL how to

I want my DRL 'rings' only to be on all the time, when I switch my DRL to 'ON' in the i-Drive, my headlights are permanently on, with the light switch in the 'Auto' position.
Permanently, as in no matter how bright it gets, BMW Menlyn said that the sensors are fine, I am not convinced, as other F10s are driving around with only the rings illuminated.
the only thing I can do now if I want the rings only to be on, is to put the headlight switch on parklights only, which is idiotic to say the least.

Any tips, maybe I'm missing something, please?

Mine are just left on auto and during the day, they stay on halo only. The headlights do stay on for a while if I start the car up with the garage dark. I will check what my i-Drive settings are later on.

Its a coding issue, my E60 worked the same as the OP's car. I got Gert@obdworx to code the rings to come on when DRL is selected/active on the i-drive.

What model is your car? It might be that later models are coded differently.

thanks, its a 2011, the light sensors work fine, as when i switch off the DRLs, the lights will go on and off depending on the ambient light, so it will probably be coding.

Will the stealers do the coding?

Gert@obdworx did my coding. Much cheaper than the stealers if they know how to do it that is.
