F10 528i to go 4 cylinder

It appears that the F10 528i already received the new 4 cylinder turbo engine in some countries. 523i seems to have been dropped too in favour of the 4 cylinder 520i. Wonder when these changes are going to filter down to SA. 530i is back with the N/A 6 cylinder and a bit more power. I guess this gives an indication of what we can expect in the new 3 series once the complete range is launched.

Well, the single turbo 520i will be faster than the current 520d... and the twin turbo 528i will be faster than the current 528i 3l 6cyl, all while saving petrol...

All 528's have always been sixes, right from the first one of 1975. Although I am sure the new four cylinder will suit the times, I will miss those purring straight sixes.

I think the 530i will fill that gap, assuming they bring it to SA.
