Exhaust Tips

So I wrote exams Thursday and decided to treat myself afterwards with some new exhaust tips. One of the main reasons for the new tips was the exhaust flap that was loose and not opening and closing properly so i decided to remove it. I know there is alot of debate about pros and cons of removing the flap but i can tell you, like in my case where it wasnt working properly, there is definately a difference in throttle response. Funny thing too the car is even quieter than with the old tips and the flap unplugged.
Sorry for the crap pics. Took them with my Blackberry. And yes, i know the car is dirty.

Not a dumb question at all bud. One way is just by turning on the car. The flap should close when you start the car. Its a bit harder to check if it opens cause i think it only opens at like past 2500-3000RPM or something. I knew for a fact that mine didnt work properly because the "arm" that was connected to the flap was swinging loose and banging against my exhaust box. Hope that helps. Another way is to disconnect the pipe that runs to the "arm" and connect your own pipe and blow threw it. It should open if you blow and close when you release or other way round not sure but that might help you.

Thanks guys. These are the 60mm. I wanted to maybe go with the 76mm but then you have to cut into the bumper. These i think full the gap nicely. Sorry for the copy Kamz and Mr_Arbee. These are the only tips they have to fit because they are the only ones you can cut shorter to fit because the box is so far back.
