rather post a video of the exhaust sound under load, or better yet post a video of the intake noise under load. BMW big sixes have much better intake noise that exhaust noise.
Cold start
Okay, I don't get it........sounds a bit like a diesel?

I honestly don't know what to say, it just sounds like any car with a freeflow idling, rather post a video of the exhaust sound under load, or better yet post a video of the intake noise under load. BMW big sixes have much better intake noise that exhaust noise.
The golf.....don't personally know why people like the stupid DSG misfire so much, because it really sound just like what it is, a misfire. Just pull one of the coils and it will do it all the time.
the DSG burp sound is personal preference to those who like it...nothing wrong with it being different to the next car and sounding good IMO. Its like you liking the sound of your 330i and appreciating the tone etc, just boils down to preference.
A DSG/M135i with a good DP & Exhaust sounds absolutely hot!

raise:
Just to clarify I am not being nasty or anything when talking of a misfire, the DSG's actually misfire when they change gears. The engine load has to be lower right at the point that it changes gear and the normal way to do this it to simply close the throttle, but they found that this was too slow so instead opted to alter the ignition timing, the result of this is that the engine actually misfires due to the timing change on every gear change.
But different strokes for different folks
Personally if a car make a noise on a gear change or overrun, it should do it like this: (Way louder that I would prefer an exhaust, but still has some good things going for it.)

(Also note the difference in exhaust tone once the engine is under load, hence my original comment)
