Exhaust Branches

Not sure how to know if my catalytic converter is close to end of life but from but i read 150k kms could be not far. So would like to start planning

Is worth it the get branches or should i just decat with resonators? Anyone know the cost of branches?

Branches could set you back around R2k - R2.5k, but can vary a lot from one supplier to another supplier (there are some guys want up to R6k).

If you have cats in the branches then it worthwhile to do the branches, otherwise might have less of an effect. But seeing as you have the m54 engine I think it is pretty safe to assume that the former applies, just remember if you do the branches you will also have to fit cat-foolers (or something similiar) so that the computer thinks there are still cats in place, if not the car could go into limp mode.
